I have just bought 2 under cupboard strip lights. They are both meant to be plugged in as they obviously have plugs.
As i have wiring already in place when i fitted the kitchen what would i have to do for these to run off my lighting ring circuit ?? I am presuming it is a fuse spur or something similar ?
I have checked the boxes but there is no paperwork in either box and it gives no indication on the boxes if these units can be run without their plugs.

If its just a standard white 3 pin plug, then cut it off and wire it into a fused spur. Striplights are usually 230v so it'll be ok.

If the fitting has a big black transformer 3-pin plug, do not cut its plug off. But this is unlikely.
