Hi,

Renovating the kitchen where I have a concrete sub floor with some cracks & high points. What's the best option to lay underfloor heating on-top of this on a budget while trying to keep additional height down to a minimum.

I will need to grind down the high points but do I really need to screed after that? Could I tile in some of those 6mm insulation tiles, electric foil on top of that then laminate?

This is what I was thinking but after looking at all the options I was hoping to find some first hand advice.

Thanks

firstly, work out the spec of the laminate and underlay, then look at your underfloor heating systems that will efficiently heat through the spec of the layers, this will determine what system height will be required.
