Hi,

Just a quick question, I have carbon underfloor heating installed and the electrician is in today to connect the thermostats. Unfortunately I can't get hold of the floor fitter and need to know which way around the cables are and if the polarity matters or not. I've got a blue cable, a black one and a black dual core cable with a brown and a blue inside.

Also, the fitter did say he would fit 2 sensor probes. Not sure if he has, but would that give the right number of cables?

Any help massively appreciated cheers,

Ed

I'm sure your electrician will know what to do, and what whire does what.

Is the
black dual core cable with a brown and a blue inside.
Tninner than the other ones?

The other blue and black cables, do they have a metal screen in the cable (a bit like a TV aerial cable?

If teh above is true then your blue and black ones is probably the floor element and the twin one may be the floor probe (but only one probe, not two).

Where's your supply?

This carbon floor heating, what room is it going in to please?
