I've just had underfloor heating pipework installed over the top of an existing (insulated) suspended floor. I want to reinstate the laminate flooring that was there before, but am wondering whether I can reuse the existing underlay, or need a different type for this type of underfloor heating.

The current type is this: https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Woo...ing-Underlay---10-03m2---Pack-of-20/p/215589#

Once you encapsulate the UFH as described above, do you have the TOG rating of the UFH system?

Ideally you shouldn’t overload the UFH system and it should have a TOG rating that the underlay and Laminate flooring should not exceed combined.

The best UFH underlay for Laminate and wood floors is Duralay Heatflow (they do a wood floor and a carpet version so get the correct one!) it has a lower TOG rating at 0.35 Toga than the 0.70 Tog listed on the one you have chosen from Wickes.
