I am wanting to put some laminate down in my upstairs extension room, it's going onto weyrock 22mm boards. Only a small area at one end of the room 2.7m x 2.7m (7.3m sq)

I think the laminate is 8mm thick I'v looked at small V groove and smooth. What laminate should i use if I don't want to spend alot. I've used the cheap white foam stuff in the past that comes in a pack or the shop is offering a type which is £38 silver foil one side & rubber with fibres on the other side think its 4-5mm.

i have just laid an engineered oak floor on foil back underlay onto concrete. I also have laminate in another room on that white foam stuff. The foil backed stuff has made the room feel a lot warmer the foam stuff didnt...

oK, thanks Rob for the info, maybe better to just stay with that then as i think it is insulating towards sound as well.
