Underpinning Question

If an outside wall on a bungalow has been opened up to create an alcove on the inside of approx 2 x 0.75 Meters and has had new foundations poured on for this relatively tiny "extension" would this be classified as underpinning or not?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

It is not underpinning unless you underpin existing foundations. You are describing new foundations.
