There is an underink water heater which has a vented tap off it.....

I want to add another hot water tap on the wall behind, can this be done?

The valve on the hot tap has cold mains to bottom of the valve then cold to the heater then hot in from the heater then upto tap....

Can i add another hot tap off this setup???

Thanks

Short answer -no!

If you add another vented tap then when you open it heated water will flow from both taps and you can't install an unvented tap

Well it will be a normal tap, wont need venting with one already on system.

Thats what i did think but is there a way around it? obviously if i connect the two cold pipes together then water will just come out of vented tap hmmmm

Heeeelp lol

IT WONT WORK!!!!!
But if you want to waste your time to find this out for yourself feel free.

ok big **** Thats why i asked... hardly waste of time.

So it can't be done with an expansion vessel non return valve etc etc?

think its 3 bar will have to double check or i could be making that up. what if i took the vented tap off put normal one on and put the pressure reducing valve to 1 bar with a PRV set to 2.5 bar?

There is no point guessing @ the rating we need facts.

The fact is you have a vented HWH.

And it may be rated @ ZERO
