Hi
Just extended the kitchen and took down a small internal wall. I now find the floor in that area behind the wall sloped and at one end is around 10mm higher than the rest of the kitchen. I have a dilemna. I could level up but that means raising a very large area (longest wall is 21ft!) by 10mm. The alternative is to scalp some off the exisiting problem area (around 6ft x 6ft). Any suggestions/hints/tips? Putting back the wall is not an option :) If scalping is the best bet, how should/would/could I do it? My intent is to have a suitable surface for laminate flooring.

Might sound a bit daft but try lifting the small area say to 50mm to create a step.
Good luck.
Regards.
