Hi,
I hope someone can give me some good advice, as I have been told many different ways to do this.
I have a 1950s house with concrete floors.
the hall floor seems to have dropped more than an inch at the worst point.
I pulled up the carpet and there was a old vinyl tile which had been stuck with a black tarmac/bitchemen substance.
I pulled these up thinking that the concrete would be cracked, but it was all in one piece.
It seems it is too deep to use a self leveling compound, and not deep enough to screed.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
