Hi,

We have a narrow (3m wide) pitched roof extending from the main roof over the kitchen in our old bungalow, most of it looks insulated with the thin black stuff in 1st pic, but there's a 5/6 foot section that is bare tiles (pic 2) quite breezy in the recent storms though we've had no leaking so far (moved in 4 months ago.)

I'm thinking to fill the gaps between the rafters with 2inch thick insulation board, that sound reasonable? any advice welcome

thanks in advance,

Mark

That looks like 1f felt not actual insulation .
The breeze is good to have .
Insulated at ceing level

Cheers, the insulation in the joists is badly deteriorated so i'm going to replace that anyway, the bare tiles are nothing to worry about then?

no felt is not a problem if your roof is good.. the extra air flow is good to have
