As mentioned in another thread I have a Four 4K Reolink kit.
I currently run just two cameras into the Reolink NVR.
I would like to install a an unmanaged switch in between the cameras and the NVR.
This would allow me to have four individual Cat5s connecting the individual cameras to the switch and one cat5 connecting the switch to the NVR
Reolink are in agreement with this wiring layout but stipulate the switch has to" support active mode"
Can anyone please explain what is ment by Active Mode.
