Unusual background

Hello
Can anyone help I cut the skim and undercoat plaster back on my walls expecting block work but the walls are covered with strange stuff it is stone's solid not lose covered with some sort of paint coating only on external walls the building is a 1970s ex council massionett any idea's? Thanks

If you can, I suggest you "Google" --- "No-Fines Concrete"

Looks like your wall was made of this material.

Bottom line is that you have an Ex-Local Authority Property, the Local Authorities used this form of construction extensively [Cheap at the time]

The wall was cast in a shutter when a fairly precise mix of a special Concrete congaing no sand was pumped into the concrete shutters that will have formed the outer, and some of the internal walls of your home.
