can you get a 3 sided upvc door frame ie sides and top as new side garage door is to be situated above a manhole so access is still needed I don't mind a bottom piece that can be removed if that is possible for the occasional manhole cove removel

You could but the bottom would have to be an ali low threshold, the trouble with this still is that they are fixed upwards in to the frame legs, this would make it un-removable, what i'd imaging you'd have to do is speak to your manufacturer and explain what your trying to achieve, he may well suggest still going with the ali threshold but fitting it between the frame legs and leaving it un-fixed, it would probably mean some sort of small right angled brackets fitted to hold the 2 together when needed and removable when you need to lift the man hole
