Opinions please:
I have 2 channel timeclock controlling:
1. upstairs radiators
2. UFH and hot water. We run the UFH 24 hours.
Are there any implications for my hot water in the cylinder? UFH controlled in each room by stat.
Was wondering is this inefficient?

Cheers

I don't know exactly what your controls are doing.

There is no problem having the cylinder available to be heated 24 hours a day. One hopes that it is controlled by a thermostat on the cylinder.

But the UFH would show a considerable saving and in my view better comfort if the temperature was reduced overnight whilst sleeping.

They probably just bypassed the time clock because there is the time lag on the underfloor circuit? So you have rads upstairs and underfloor down right? Might be best to get programmable room stats downstairs, starting couple of hours earlier than the house rads.
