I wish to upgrade my controls in central heating system. Boiler is Potterton Promax Combi 28 HE Plus. Right now I have SM1 mechanical timeswitch and RTS1 room thermostat. How I can in easy way upgrade my system to control temperature depends time of the day(5am to 10 am 21C, 10am to 15.30 22C......). Do I have to buy LP711 and/or Digistat +2 or +3 and how the wiring will be look like. Right now it looks like:
SM1
- pin N blue wire from boiler and grey to RTS1
- pin L brown from boiler
- pin 1 grey from boiler
- pin 2 empty
- pin 3 brown to RTS1
- pin 4 empty
RTS1
- pin N grey from SM1
- pin L brown from SM1
- pin 1,2,4 empty
- pin 3 black from boiler
Please can anyone can help me? I have basic electrical knowledge.
