uPVC cladding Installation

I am replacing the wood cladding on this porch with some tongue and groove uPVC cladding. I was going to start at the bottom edge and work my way up but then thought how am I going to insert the next piece as the it needs to go slightly higher to fit the groove onto the tongue of the piece below. Any ideas?
Marley Weatherboard is much nicer.
You use the edge trims. Admittedly, they are a bit clunky, but they allow you a fitting gap.
