Want to remove existing cladding and redo with upvc cladding to front of house,I think the void has breeze blocks to rear the question is do I put a breathable membrane to breeze blocks ,then screw wood to this for bats then add insulation then breathable membrane again,then upvc cladding and how if need to make an air gap on this,,

What thickness of insulation are you going to use. Can't remember the figure off the top of my head, but if you do over a certain area, then building control would force you to bring the wall up to current regs.
just about to use marley cedral lap and the price is comparable to uPVC and yes it looks much nicer
