Hi All, on my patio door at the bottom of one door the lower metal part that extends when locking the door is sticking out a bit and it has a bit of play. So the door closes but needs a bit of a push or pull as it's not sitting flush. Can I adjust the height of this part so it doesn't stick out? I have attached two pictures. The highlight shows the part that I am talking about.

FYI its called a shoot bolt extension. Looking closely at it it doesn't look to be poking out that much and doesn't look much lower than the door itself, if its rubbing on the threshold of the door frame its more likely the door has dropped slightly or a lot really because there should be about a 6 to 7mm gap, take a photo of the hinges, they should have some height adjustment in them

If you mean the shoot bolt it rattling then thats normal, they are quite crude on the way they operate

Thanks! It is rubbing against the threshold and there isn't the 6-7mm gap so it does look like the door has dropped. The door is held by three hinges which looks like the ones in the picture. Doesn't look like they have been touched in a while.
