Hi Folks

I recently moved into a new house and now the weather is starting to take a turn I noticed ones of my back doors has an awful draft at the hinge the worse of which seems to be in the middle. After taking a few measurements and using a spirit level I could see the door wasn’t aligned properly and probably needs rotated anti clockwise or pulled in tighter to the frame. When I push the door in with my hand the draft stops. It has T hinges and when I removed the cover to try and adjust it using online tutorials I found a different plate to any of the others I seen and don’t know what to adjust. I didn’t want to play about with it too much as I’m worried it will make it worse. I have attached some photos and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Starzy

Hi,
The patent number on the photo led me to Heywood Williams components, trading as Mila Hardware!
Try following the attached and see how you get on :)

Hi RandomGrinch

Thanks for the reply. When leaving the house this morning I seen that my neighbours were getting new PVC doors and windows installed. I asked one of the lads for some advice and he looked at the door for me. It turns out there’s a bow in the door and nothing to do with the hinges etc. I give him a box of beer then went to screwfix and bought some storm guard strips and put them on both the frame and the door and this has helped a lot already but I’ll know better the next windy day.

Thanks for the help
