honestly mate i only use plastic external beads when im spreading coloured render thay just blend in better or if i am rendering a curved wall they just flex better than ss beads sorry if thats no help to you but i thought someone had better reply to you.
thanks for the reply.
they just seem alot cheaper tha SS and are going to last longer than simlar priced galvanized products.
the render is also to be painted white so it will blend nice.
i just wanted a pro to confirm they were NOT a compleate waste of money and were crap
thanks for your time
ian
thire not crap but its all down to what you prefer i persoanlly prefer ss beads like i said unless its a curved wall or coloured render i spose the only advantage you would have with plastic is that they wont dent as badley if someone happend to hit it with something
UPVC beads are miles and miles and miles and miles better than steel.
just butter up the corners stick on the bead, plumb it, ....use a half inch two coat bead, lay over the web with yor scratch coat and you have the arris edge of the two coat to work to, no nails no hassle, no expense, no brainer.
S. Steel beads, havent seen one used in Years. I was actually given a box of them last year for the same price as a box of galvanised, thought I would save a few quid...ended up dumping them they are useless in comparison. Now you do have the opinion of a professional.
