Morning, all. Our uPVC porch door is pulling away from the frame at the top hinge, which is getting very skewed sideways, to the extent that it's becoming difficult to shut, and very difficult to lock. (The road is a very windy one, so every time the door isn't shut properly the wind tends to catch it and pull it further away.) As you can see from the pictures, the hinge is now far from vertical, but is also several millimetres of daylight off the door frame.
I've had a look at various YT "misaligned uPVC door" videos and am reasonably confident that (provided the connections haven't seized up) I could realign the door via the hinges - it looks relatively easy. However, I think this is going to need more than that, because the hinge is going to need to be tightened back against the frame, and I'm not sure how you can do that, short of actually dismounting the door, which I won't be able to manage on my own.
I'd very much appreciate thoughts from those who are more experienced in such things
Oh, and if the connections have seized up, what is it safe to use on them? I seem to remember seeing something about not using WD40 on uPVC windows ...
