Hi
I'm fitting some insulation and new PB to the window reveals but am concerned that it's going to finish far too close to the window beadings which could make a broken pane replacement very difficult. I've currently put 25mm insulation up there dry-fit to test and by the time 12.5mm PB goes on and it's skimmed then we're right on the edge.
Options I can think of -
a. use 15mm insulation instead and 9mm PB (I don't like this).
b. find the window manufacturer and buy some spare beading so I can cut the old beading apart to weaken it to pull it out.
c. find a really good removal tool which is claw shaped and strong enough to pull the beading away without levering into or damaging the reveal - does anyone know of anything like that and could recommend something??
Thanks,
Dave
