Hi,

I am due to have 2 new upvc windows installed which are 600mm width however the brickwork cavity itself the left side window currently is 590mm appox but not same measurements top down and right side window currently is 600mm approx but not parallel. Builders said its not a problem as brickework wont be 100% accurate meaurements and that the window installers can adjust brickwork to get 600mm windows both sides. Is this true?

Highly unlikely that the window fitters will adjust the brickwork!

Not sure if your windows will have this but years ago when I fitted windows in my house the frames had some bits on you could take off with a planner. I think it was about 5 mm a side. Hope yours have them on it.... they got me out of trouble.... they did not effect the window at all. Depends on the profile of the plastic.
