A tax cut for the wealthy paid for by the poorest and middle classes. The wealthy will be able to avoid taxes on their private jets but the school teachers who buy supplies for their classes will no longer be tax deductible.

So will this massive tax cuts create jobs? Well the CEOs of the large corporations were asked exactly that and their response was - No.

So to see what happens when someone actually goes about cutting taxes on businesses to stimulate demand - thy did just that in Kansas and now they want to repeal that legislation as i comes as no surprise that the public deficit ballooned.

sadly this happens a lot when nations of the people are governed by the rich, for the rich.

The occasional scandals of the wealthy tax dodgers using Switzerland, Panama, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are probably carried out to try to energise citizens and embarrass governments into being less generous to the tax-dodging billionaires. It has to be done on an international basis, or they just scurry away to a comfortable country willing to turn a blind eye.

We live in a country where a recent Prime Minister used a tax-dodging Panama scheme, and where the husband of the current Prime Minister works for a wealthy company that pays no tax.

Something wrong, I think.

As a leading British politician recently said "those using the funds should be forced to confront what it meant for public services. “If a very wealthy person wants to avoid taxation in Britain, and therefore put money into a tax haven somewhere, who loses?” he said. “Schools, hospitals, housing, all those public services lose and the rest of the population has to pay to cover up the deficit created by that.”

Can anyone deny it?

Should we, the tax-paying citizens, be paying our money to a group based in the eponymous Virgin islands? Should our government be entering into multi-million contracts with them?

A former party treasurer and deputy chairman, Lord Ashcroft, who donated millions to the Cons, was a tax dodger who made misleading statements giving the false impression he had mended his ways.

He sat on the Conservative benches of the House of Lords until 2015, having been created a life peer in 2000. His peerage was controversial due to his status as a tax exile.[5] The Cabinet Office stated that he would take up permanent residence in the UK for tax purposes,[5][6] but it was revealed a decade later that he had not done so.[7][8]

"Lord Ashcroft promised to become a permanent resident in the UK - a change that would have meant giving up his status as a UK resident whose permanent home, or domicile, is outside of the country.

The then leader of the Conservative Party William Hague told Parliament that becoming a peer would "cost him [Lord Ashcroft] and benefit the Treasury tens of millions of pounds a year in tax".

"Lord Ashcroft's admission in 2010 that he was still a non-dom led to a major political controversy and the introduction of legislation designed to force anybody who sits in Parliament to pay full British tax.
After Lord Ashcroft told the BBC in May 2010 he was going to become "a fully taxed person in Britain", it was widely reported he had given up his non-dom status.
The
Conservative Party also gave such an indication on 7 July that same year.
However, documents seen by the BBC's Panorama, reveal "his true domicile is Belize"."

In what way does capitalism work for the majority, surely it's ultimate aim is to have one winner?
