US toaster - how to make it work in the UK

although this is only a 100W one, i imagine a toaster is a little more powerful than that, my el-cheepo is 800W

the yellow transformers made for building sites are a pretty good bet for running american equipment. Sure their secondries are center tapped earth but thats rarely an issue. They are well built, have ratings high enough to handle a toaster and because they are isolating transformers there is little risk of the connected equipment being damaged if the transformer fails.

If you have an american power strip you can replace the plug on that and use it to connect all your american stuff to your site transformers.
