Hi, I have recently begun planning my first ever shower installation so im hoping some kind souls will provide some advice before I start. The first issue I have stumbled on is whether or not it is generally acceptable to use flexi hoses in shower plumbing. I would like to tee into my bath tap cold feed (which is 15mm copper) using a compression tee. Onto this tee i would like to connect a 500mm flexi hose with a 10mm bore. The choice of 10mm bore is purely because thats all I can see available with 15mm compression ends. The reason I want to use a flexi hose is because the space where the the shower pipe work will start is already crammed with pipework (not my work) and difficult to work in. The hose would make light work of the problem if I can use it.

The flow rate of my cold bath tap when fully open is easily 15 litres a mintute, so would a 5mm restriction make much difference with the water pressure being so generous? This 10mm bore flexi hose will then join onto 15mm chromed copper pipe for the rest of its run. A recipe for airlocks? Any constructive comments much appreciated.
