Hi,
I'm creating storage in the loft space of a 6m x 3.2m garage by spanning it with 150mm x 50mm joists at 600mm centres, boarded with 22mm T&G chipboard. The joist ends will sit on lengths of 75mm x 50mm timber fixed to the garage wall, which is single brick thickness, with anchor bolts drilled into the third course of brick below the top plate.
What size and spacing of anchor bolt will be needed to support this floor?

Thanks,
dhc

10mm @ 600 - 700 would be fine so far as the fixings themselves go, but is the brickwork sufficient to take the load? Suggest resin-fix instead of expanding anchors.
