Hi

I plan to some grey coloured 110mm soil pipe plus fittings underground, as my supplier does not have the equivalent underground fittings in the orange colour.

I understand that the grey pipe is UV resistant for use above ground.

Is there any downside to using the grey pipe ( plus fittings ) below ground ?

Cheers.

You mean apart from being a lot thinner and not designed for being buried and liable to simply decompose in time?

The brown is also more flexible and not brittle like the grey.

Browm pipe is used for underground because the soil is corrosive . Grey will not last long and will corrode
