Is it possible to use own router with sky broadband? Current router is sagem. The router is broken. Do sky charge for a replacement router ? In the meantime is it possible to use another router ? How to configure it ? How to retrieve user name and password from existing SAGEM sky router?

Yes it is, but Sky do not approve.
You need your ADSL username and password, use this:
https://www.cm9.net/skypass/
Put the new ADSL username and password into a different router, and follow the setup for that as per the manufacturer

seeing as yours is broken, no, AFAIK you need the router working to get your info off it.
also BECAUSE sky dont like you using other routers, replacements are free
mine took 3 days to arrive, not too bad.
not had any problems with my sky router that want me to get a different one.
