using reclaimed flettons as pavers

I rather like a reclaimed fletton and have the used them for other things and hoped to build a small patio with them as I enjoy the look. However, I've read they're not suitable for paving. Why might that be? Hoping someone can shed some light. Hoping it may only intend to refer to use on a driveway or something, which this wouldn't be.

Indeed - my chipped and tired looking garden wall is testament to this!!
