Hi all, got a bit of a weird one.
10 year old eco tec pro 28 combi boiler.
Never once had a single issue.
Lately the hot water from taps was taking longer to get hot, didn't think much of it.
Then started getting no hot water or central heating. Error appeared F.27.
Had a gas company come out, said it could be 3 different things. Gave a price to replace the parts but also said it might still not work right, and recommended a new boiler.
Fair enough, it’s been good for 10 years.
My only issue is this seems to be intermittent. Right now, central heating is on and the hot water is working perfectly. But tomorrow it might be showing that error again.
I can’t help but think if all those parts are broken and need replacing, how is it working perfectly right now.
When it is playing up, it goes like this:
You turn it on, makes a normal noise, then begins to “fire up” then suddenly stops and shows f.27.
Buying a new boiler now will skint me out, and the repairs were a third of the price of a boiler and he had no confidence it would even help.
Any ideas?
Thanks
