hi and thanks again. its the thought of studying the solar hw system via logging that i should concentrate on right now. i have reservations about the kick start function in poor weather and the logging facility seems just the boy to leave making notes all day. my day job is fitting and commissioning remote control to hv s/station switch gear. mostly involve tools and a pc with software for just about everything that it involves. my pal borrowed my vw interface and reprogrammed his car inadvertently from a 4 door rhd to a 2 door lhd. didnt realise until his son bought him a coffee and when he tried to open the drivers window, the read near side one opened instead... fiddler beware! lol
Btw, the firm who installed my system had an ex graduate engineer to explain the system at my home and I as customer was invited too. he was absolutely brilliant in explaining why this and that setting was set so. never once made me feel thick. No problem with making a system backup... your preaching to the converted there lol. Talk about got the tee shirt? Ive got enough material to have my own show on tv.
