I have been called to one of these only a few hundred yards from home for a change.

Problem is there is a wall immediately to the right of the unit.

Normal diverter valve replacement requires access from the right of about 200 mm.

Has anyone done it with no access except from the front? And how long does it take? I always allow 1.5 hours when full side access is available!

Surprised no one apparently knows.

It turns out its not the diverter but a sluggish flow switch which does not always operate the gas valve device.

Its OK on DHW but sluggish just on CH. All the rads are on so any suggestions as to the most likely cause ?

Clean out the pipes leading to the servovalve at the middle/bottom of the boiler. It is black and i think 3 small tubes going into it. This valve is operated by dhw calling for heat and when it moves it redirects the hydrolics to the diverter valve allowing it to move for heating or dhw.
