Can someone please confirm the minimum output of the 831 ecoterrorism plus.

There seems to be some contradiction in the outputs on the write up,it mentions 8.7 to 24 but later reads 5.2 to 24 which is much more respectable. Has there been a recent revision that has increased the turn down ration but some docs have not been updated. If this is the case then when I order it how can I be sure I get the revised model?

tks

The 'new' ecoTEC has been available since June 2012. Unless its really old stock, all merchants now supply the newer model. New GV, Display, PCB, Casing.

The new range since June 2012 have the better turndown ratio, 5.2-24Kw as you said.

Ok literature a bit out of date on the website then. Good news as I think I will recommend this one over the competitors as it seems to have the edge with the greater turndown.

If running with a battery operated timer stat. I take it you dont need a timer clock? Stat I had in mind was the Myson MPRT so the on off's for the heating times will be controlled by the MPRT.

With the new logic on the boiler can you forsee a clash with the Tpi control of the MPRT?

It is for my parents and I dont think they will get on the the VR470 so trying to get the benefits of a low return temp which the Tpi control on the Myson seems to do quite well.

tks

Found the boiler, flue and vr470 for a good price so have gone for this rather than have an issue. Have added up all the rads and it comes in a 17kw so guess set d.0 to 17kw. What are good base line settings for the Vr470 heat curve pump overrun, anti cycle timer etc, I seem to remember that you have to tell the controller that it is going to base it settings on Vr470 sensor and monitor the outside sensor to work out the required target flow. House is a pretty well insulated 1990's build end of terrace.

The boiler is going in the same large cupboard as the powermax 155 that is coming out so assume I can use the current .75mm cable that runs to the current analogue thermostat? As it only needs 2 cores to work including data and power?

Installer wanted to install a WB but didn't like the turndown ratio on it. Want to make sure my Dad understands the 470 and can put base line settings in as dont want installer moaning about the "complicated" controller.

Tks

Why are you wanting such a low output if you need 17kw

Your installer will set it up for what is required anyway

For when the weather is not as cold and when radiators start shutting off in parts of the house that are not heated all the time (have had issues in the past with low target flows. Installer has a preference to WB I have a preference to Bunnys and the advanced controls. They came through in the end with an issue I had for a few years on the 4 series and in the end I got good support from them.
