Hello ,
I am really fruststed as after spending £1100 recently on heating system , we dont have a solution. So dearly need some help!

It started in December when the rads upstairs worked fine but downstairs some worked and some did not. Some were lukewarm. We switched off upstrairs rads and then downstairs started ro work. But after some time when we turned on upstairs , we had the same situation.

We did power flushing a week ago and apparently it cleaned up the system and the heat exchanger . During the flushing, all rads got really super heated. It worked fine for couple of days but then it went to the same old status where some rads worked fine and others not.

Next we were told by professional guys to change the pump. We just changed that ( Vaillant ) but guess what, there is no change to our disappointment. The pressure at the boiler is perfect yet some rads are completely cold.
We tried turning off the ones that were working. THis made the one downstairs that never worked started to heat up which is strange!

We have no clue what do do next. If the system is blocked, why the power flusing didnt clean it and why the rads worked well when the flushing machine was connected to the mains.

The heating system people are now saying, the pump is fine , boiler is fine but may be something is wrong in the system . May be Microbore manifold ?? Really frustated so any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Riz

I have Vaillant eco TEC plus 637 37kw

Does the HW cylinder heat up ok ? what system do you have is it Y plan or S plan, if you are not sure post pics of all the controls HW cyl etc so we can see what you have

Could you also check d40 and d41 and post the number( after the heating has been on for a while) check your manual on how to access the d codes
