Vaillant ecoTEC - any good?

Needs to spec a combi for our plumber to install. We live in a three bedroom semi, with one bathroom (we may get a 4th bedroom in time).

The Vaillant ecoTEC plus 837 has caught my eye, as it has a good HW flow rate, a stainless steel heat exchange and a 2 year warranty. I can get one for less than £1100.

Are there any reasons to avoid this model (and maybe go for a Worcester Greenstar)?

These Vaillants are all I fit. Very good boiler and very reliable.

great boiler but bigger than you need

Its thermal store will fill a bath more quickly.

But if you mostly have showers then an 837 ( is that right ) without the store will be cheaper, use less space and give the same underlying flow rate.

The flow rate of the 937 is only higher until the store is exhausted.
