Vaillant ecotec combi and a tower rf stat/programmer

Hi
My parents want me to fit the above rf unit to their vaillant combi ( which has the standard mechanical clock fitted ).
Can anyone tell me what wires i connect to once the clock has been removed.
The rf unit has live-in,live-out and neutral. It is also has the option of removing a link to made it volt free, is this used volt free with the vaillant?

terminals 3,4 & 5

3&4 are the live terminals connect 3 to the common or 1 on the stat
5 is neutral
