Well, sometimes if you want a job done properly, you have to get on and do it yourself. First time bending pipes and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Wilo bronze pump fitted (above expansion in pic) and pipe as close to furthest tap as possible, but still 7 meters away. Pipes all lagged now and works great - hot water time reduced from an unusable 40 secs to 6 secs!

Assume if you did it properly you also fitted a check/no return valve on the secondary return or have it built into the valves at the pump?
You assumed correct, the Wilo pump has a check valve built in - nifty bit of kit (if not a bit expensive!).
