Hi everyone, my boiler was installed in 2009 and has been regularly inspected. It's a vented system with separate HW and CH valves. It also has an ABV but it's fitted facing a corner and I can't see what it's set to. Touching the pipes tells me that it's closed when the boiler fires up.
The boiler output is set to 14kW and it all seems to work in that the house is warm and the water is hot. So what's my problem? Being a curious type I attached temperature sensors to the flow and return pipes and started logging. It's not really cold enough outside for a proper test, but here is a typical plot. The HW comes on at 5am and 12pm, followed by the heating.
Does this look right? Why does it take so long for the water to cool down when the boiler switches off?
A friend did a similar experiment on his Vaillant boiler and he got this result which is why I'm wondering if my system is OK.
Any advice gratefully received!
