vaillant pro 28 R1 doesn't show current water temperature!!

I need help my Vaillant does not show the current water temperature. I have to turn the knobs then the display shows the temperature for a moment, and then returns to showing the pressure on the boiler.

Press and hold the minus button for approx 6 seconds, it flashes between the 2 and then will settle on temp.

That doesn't show the water temperature. It shows the temperature measured by the primary thermistor where it leaves the main heat exchanger. This is higher than the HW temperature. There is no HW thermistor on a pro.
