I've got one of these boilers - it's about 20 years old. It's got a time switch thingy on the front panel which ticks quite loudly - a bit annoying because it sits in the corner of my lounge (albeit behind a small door). I don't use the time switch - I've got a separate programmable thermostat. Is there a way to remove it (or to disable it so that it stops ticking)? It seems to click into the control panel and it wobbles when I try to move it, but it's not obvious how to take it off (and I don't know if I should anyway!).

Thank you.

Others might confirm, but it’s not a boiler I’m familiar with, but the Ecotec and ecomax just plug in, so yours may too. It would be advised to get a blanking plate though.
