Hi All
I'm looking for some views as to whether to opt for the consumer Vaillant boiler controls (VRC 720 plus VR71) or the commercial controls (VRC 630).
I have the following set-up:
- two Vaillant EcoTec Plus 630 boilers
- two hot water cylinders (vented) - each with a separate zone valve/thermostat
- three radiator zones (each separated by zone valves)
- an underfloor heating system with zone valve and mixing valve/actuator (which itself is separated into 3 zones but controlled by third party controllers)
The h/w and radiator zones are currently controlled by Hive thermostats and the u/f heating just switches on the boilers when the zone valve is triggered.
I want to replace with the Vaillant controllers to get the benefit of the e-bus system to cascade the boilers and to modulate to the heating curve etc.
The most appropriate options seem to be the two systems mentioned above. The main difference as far as I can tell is that the 720 allows wifi control (including the Vaillant TRVs) whereas the 630 does not.
I am therefore erring towards the 720 but does anyone have any views as to whether the 630 would be a better choice.
Thanks
James
