The plans for my new extension are showing a valley rafter that briefly intersects with a first floor corridor that leads to one of the bedrooms. In an otherwise 'normal' width 2.4M high corridor, it's chopping the corner off such that it starts at around 1.7M and then runs up at 45 degrees to meet the ceiling.
Are there regulations that specify the minimum size of a corridor? It would be the one fire escape route other than first floor windows.
Thanks
