Valliant Combi Troubles

I am the proud owner of a Valliant combi boiler VCW GB 242 EB CombiCompact, it has now started to play up after many a year. The problem is this... it now stays on continously, as opposed to switching itself on when there is a demand for HW, this problem is accompanied by no CH, even though the boiler is on.

I am puzzled as to what the problem might be, any ideas ? Something similar happened a couple of months ago, and it corrected itself at the time.
