Valliant Ecomax 800 filling valve

Hi

Just had some work done and something grabbed my attention.
I am wondering which way the filling valve handle no1 should be facing when closed.
Number 2 is no problem as can hear the hissing when open however number 1 I cannot make out.
Number 1 is set to its extreme in an anticlockwise position which has go me thinking as number 2 closes the opposite way.
So I am checking in case number 1 has been left in an open position.

If the no1 handle is closed, then opening no2 will not have any effect and vice versa.

This therefore will 'tell' you if it is open or closed.
