Valliant turbomax vuw 242e timer switch / clock

I went to put the heating for an hour last night. The first time in months. I noticed the clock was at the wrong time so I set it right pulled out the tabs, but hours later it was still on and the clock hadn't moved.

do I need to replace it?

If so, is it an easy enough job?
