Hi All
I own an eight seater Nissan Serena 1994 2.0 ltr petrol with no real issues other than a leaking radiator which was the original and was replaced by me.
Unfortunately it is non ULEZ and have to pay the daily rate of £12.50 however I now only use it once a week, I am aware things will start failing and parts getting harder to source and some parts are now obsolete.
I am looking to upgrade to a used vehicle of 5 years old thanks to the extortionate road tax on vehicles over £40.000.
My wife likes the high driving position and we do not want to go back to driving a car as we prefer the benefit of a van with seats as I call them, plenty of space for family, shopping, diy materials and collecting a new washing machine when the old one packs in.
My choices are limited to similar vehicles, Peugeot Traveller and the psa but badged Toyota Proace Verso, however these have known Adblue sensor fault issues.
VW Transporter shuttle although has issues which I am well aware of seems to be more reliable as I want to keep the next vehicle for at least Ten years or so, I know the road tax is higher.
I am aware of the dpf, egr clogging up issues but unfortunately dont have a choice, want to use the vehicle regularly especially when I retire.
Any advice would be truly appreciated.

The Proace is essentially Citroen with Toyota badges - it's a good piece of kit, versatile seating and the AdBlue issues have largely been addressed by now.
I do think that diesels have had their day though, how about a petrol Berlingo or VW Caddy Max?
John :)

Ford Custom Tourneo?

Mercedes Vito?

Both a similar size to the VW Shuttle / Traveller, but they're all bigger vehicles than the Serena? The current Ford Connect is actually the current VW Caddy. Get the long wheelbase version of either, for similar space to your Nissan?
