Hi all,

just another quick question, do I need a vapour barrier between the rafters and plasterboard ??

There will be an inch gap between the roofing membrane and the top of the 125mm insulation in between the rafters and the soffits will be vented allowing air flow under the tiles.

It wasn't specified on the plans but just want to make sure.

If you don't know this is my roof / ceiling.

thanks,

Graham

Foil backed insulation is being used between the rafters.

The ridge has no vents in it apart from the dry ridge kit I am using but it will be open via a dry verge along the roof edge up to the cap on the end of the ridge tiles, not air tight.
