Vapour control plasterboard - can I peel it?

Bit of a niche question.

I'm getting some Gyproc duplex vapour control board, with the foil backing.

Does anyone know if the foil can be peeled off, leaving regular board.

I'll have some left over, and need normal board around a window, would save some £ if I can peel and use it.

Can you not use with the foil left on?
Try peeling off and use then. I've never tried but if it comes off great
