Varilight Dimmer Switch

Hi folks. I have just got myself a Varilight Dimmer and tried to fit it but cant seem to make sense of it. My existing socket has 1 brown cable going into a L1 and 2 brown cables going into a com on the back of the light switch. There is also 2 earth cables going into a connector block with nothing comming out the other end and the neutral has 3 cables again going into the connector block with nothing comming out the other side. My dimmer has a Live, Load, Slave and Earth port. Not sure what connects to what. Any ideas?
I have put a diagram up just to show what it says above.

2 browns from 'com' into 'live'. Single brown into 'load'. Earths to earth terminal, Neutrals stay as they are in their own connector.

He means a light socket, not a plug socket.

Geez, you need to bone up on DIY definitions
